DEFINE THE PROBLEM
Discovery
Before coming up with solutions, my process began with a discovery phase aimed at understanding our target users’ contexts and behaviors. What started as simple observation evolved into a deeper investigation through surveys, interviews, and web research. From this, I uncovered several meaningful findings.
What I learned
☝🏻 Limited app accessibility, cultural and language barriers, are some of the biggest challenges travelers face.
☝🏻 Travelers find travel apps to be beneficial, but sometimes they are not an accurate source for their needs.
☝🏻 Travelers spent a lot of time planning for their upcoming trip.
How might we help tourists plan their itineraries efficiently, while ensuring it to be aligned with their interests and falls within their budget range? 🤔

User testing
User testing
After completing the prototypes, I conducted a series of user testing sessions to evaluate whether users could complete their tasks intuitively. These sessions not only helped assess usability but also provided valuable insights into how well the product functioned, which areas required improvement, and what new opportunities could be explored.
During testing, I asked users specific, task-related questions and closely observed their reactions and the steps they took when interacting with the product. This process allowed me to understand their thought patterns, identify pain points, and reflect on how to further refine the overall user experience.
PROVING THE SOLUTION
User feedback was largely positive. Many users mentioned that Planatrip made trip planning a lot simpler, easier and less time-consuming, especially when it comes to traveling with friends and family. A few users pointed out some pages and minor UIs can be removed to make trip planning even simpler.

CONCLUSION
Based on the insights gathered, I aim to accomplish the following goals by the end of this project
☝🏻 75% of users felt that planatrip helped them to stay organized with their trip schedules and reservations.
☝🏻 About 65% of Gen Z shared that planatrip makes trip planning far more enjoyable and much less exhausting.
☝🏻 Over 80% of users said planatrip significantly reduced the time they spend on planning trips.
